Quins Gentlemen's Evening 23 February 2010
On February 21st. Carmarthen Quins Rugby Club held a Gentlemen’s Evening with Guest Speaker, Welsh International, Garin Jenkins.

The event was superbly supported and, after introductions were made by Club Chairman, Dorian Taylor, guests sat down to a fine three course meal. Jeff Thomas acted as compere and kept the crowd entertained with rugby quizzes accompanied by spot prizes before introducing Mr. Garin Jenkins.

The crowd, already in good humour, were then entertained royally by the Guest of Honour. Without resorting to prepared notes, he regaled his audience with anecdotes about his illustrious rugby career, comical tales of his life in the pit and his upbringing in, as he put it, the city of Ynysybwl. For this he received a standing ovation.

The evening ended with an auction of a rugby ball, signed by the Quins players and a shirt signed by the Welsh Squad. To say the least bidders were extremely generous and completed a fine night in style.
