Pontyberem 0:35 Carmarthen Quins U10's

The Quins U10’s found their rhythm away at Pontyberem to register an impressive 35 – 0 victory against a determined and resolute home side. A combination of a dogged forward effort, slick back play and effective counter attacking led to first half tries from Sam Icke and Jack Price, converted by Ben Jones and Tomos Jones respectively. Three unanswered second half converted tries from Ben Jones, Harri Morgan and Jack Price sealed the victory for the Quins youngsters.

Charging runs from Scott Jones, Luke Jones and Dafydd Millward could have extended the lead but the Pontyberem defence held tight. Pontyberem’s attacking efforts were unlucky not to be rewarded with a home score.

The whole squad contributed to an enjoyable team victory that, hopefully, will be the catalyst for a successful season.
